The non political organization Hefajote Islam is trying to be activated again in the implementation of 13 points announced by the former Amir Shaikhul Islam Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi of Hefazat Islam. This non-political organization has announced to organized a ‘National Ulama Mashayekh Conference’ on December 17 at Kazi Bashir Auditorium in Gulistan. In that conference, the leaders of the party will demand the release of jailed activists in various cases and the withdrawal of all the cases filed in the name of custody.
A meeting was held at the Secretary General’s office at Khilgaon in the capital on Monday to implement the conference. Under the chairmanship of Central Joint Secretary General and Dhaka Metropolitan President Maulana Abdul Qayyum Subhani and chaired by Dhaka Metropolitan Secretary and Central Publicity Secretary Mufti Kefaitullah Azhari, the leaders of the Central Committee were present, Joint Secretary General Maulana Mohiuddin Rabbani, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Zahurul Islam, Organizing Secretary Maulana Mir Idris, Office Secretary Maulana Rashed Bin Noor and Media Affairs Coordinator Syed Mahfuz Khandkar.
Senior Vice President Maulana Mujibur Rahman Hamidi, Vice President Maulana Wahidur Rahman, Assistant Secretary Maulana Nurul Islam, Mufti Abdullah Yahya, Maulana Ilyas Hamidi and Maulana Jubair Ahmad, Finance Secretary Mufti Kamal Uddin, Publicity Secretary Maulana Mustakim Billah Hamidi and others were present among the leaders of the Metropolitan Committee.
In the meeting, several sub-committees were formed to implement the conference. A committee has been formed under the leadership of General Secretary Allama Shaikh Sajidur Rahman to manage the invitation process of the conference. Maulana Mohiuddin Rabbani, Maulana Abdul Qayyum Subhani, Maulana Mujibur Rahman Hamidi and Mufti Kefaitullah Azhari are also in the committee. Maulana Mir Idris has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing dawati activities in the greater Chittagong region. Apart from this, a committee of three members has been formed to conduct the campaign headed by Maulana Abdul Qayyum Subhani. The committee members are Maulana Rashid Bin Noor and Syed Mahfuz Khandkar.
At the end of the meeting, duaa was prayed for the forgiveness of Pakistan Mufti Azam Mufti Rafi Usmani. Maulana Mohiuddin Rabbani led the duaa.
